Bath Country Club
Set in the rolling farmland of North Bath, Bath Country Club's 18 championship holes are a Maine favorite for golfers from South Portland to Augusta. Lush, beautiful and challenging, it's no wonder so many Mainers decide to "skip work, play golf!"
Bath, City of Ships
Bath's history of building ships dates back to 1607. It was then that English colonists built the Virginia at the mouth of the Kennebec River-- the first sailing ship ever built in the New World by Englishmen. Today, Bath Iron Works is one of the foremost shipyards in the world. With its easy distance to Portland, proximity to the ocean or river and a vibrant downtown, Bath is listed as one of the "Top 100 Small Cities in America". In 2005, Bath was named one of America's Dozen Distinctive Destinations by The National Trust for Historic Preservation. Find out more about Bath and the surrounding area through either Main Street Bath or the Bath-Brunswick Chamber of Commerce.
